Peening Jig

The Fux peening jig takes all the guesswork out of peening your blade and is essential to the longevity of your scythe blade. Peening is the word used to describe cold hammering of a blade edge, this hammering action draws out the steel in the blade and restores the profile. After peening with the jig you then finish the blade with your rough and fine stones. Experienced scythers will often peen free hand but this jig will last a lifetime and give excellent results.
